South West Tourism Silver Awards

Well we finally have time to tell you about the South West Awards. We were overjoyed to receive a Silver not only for the Self Catering, but also for the B&B – so a great night was had by all.

It is always so nice to see the Cornish contingent cheering on their fellow businesses – in fact Cornwall won the prize for cheering the loudest! Trebah Gardens won Gold, our friends at Little White Alice won the Silver for Sustainable Tourism and Boskerris won a Silver again for their hotel in St Ives.

We were runners up in the B&B section to Pentillie Castle – you may have seen them on the Ruth Watson programme on Channel 4. It really is a castle and they have worked amazingly hard to transform it from near dereliction into not only fabulous accommodation but also a wedding venue and they also run special events such a snowdrop walks, hill climbs, etc.

We love the recognition the awards give us, but we have also made lots of great friends, who all work in the hospitality business and are dedicated to providing great customer service. It makes us proud to be part of such an auspicious group.

However, we are having a year off awards next year – we have been asked to be mystery shoppers – what fun that will be!
